Letter 13

Preschool Graduation, I’m so proud of you!

Dear Sweetheart,

Today I’ve been thinking about you more than usual, which is saying a lot—because I think about you every single day.

I’m sure you had your preschool graduation recently, and I can just imagine how beautiful that day was. You’ve been in preschool for three years, working so hard, learning so much, and growing into such a smart, kind, and brave little girl. I remember taking you to and from school last year—our drives, our little talks, the songs, the giggles. Those moments were some of my favorites.

If I had been able to be there on your special day, I would have clapped so loud when your name was called. I would have smiled the biggest smile and watched you with so much pride in my heart. And as soon as it was over, I would have scooped you up in a big hug and told you just how proud I am of you—because I truly am.

Even though I couldn’t be there, I want you to know this: I celebrated you. I cried for you. I cheered for you. I whispered to the stars how proud I am of you. And someday, when you read this, I hope you’ll know that even though I wasn’t in the room, you were never far from my heart.

You are doing such amazing things, sweet girl. And even when I’m not beside you, I am always cheering for you, always loving you, always holding you in my heart.

I love you forever and ever,

Your Nana
