Hi, my love. It’s your Nana. I’m writing this letter just for you because I want you to always know something very important—I have loved you from the very first moment I held you, and I will love you forever.

You have been a bright light in my life, filling my days with laughter, cuddles, and so many wonderful memories. For the first three and a half years of your life, I got to see you every single day. You lived in my house, played in my arms, and filled every corner of my world with your beautiful spirit. And even after that, you still came to stay the night, play with us and just hang out with me and Papa all the time. Every moment with you was a gift.

I miss you so much, my sweet girl. Not a single day goes by that I don’t think of you, wonder what you’re doing, and hope you can feel how much I love you, no matter where you are. You will always be in my heart, and I will always be waiting to hug you again.

Do you remember how I used to sing Skidamarink to you? I can still hear your little voice singing along with me—“I love you in the morning and in the afternoon…” I still sing it sometimes and think of you, smiling and snuggling close. I hope that whenever you hear that song, you remember how much your Nana loves you.
